This privacy policy explains how Tauseef.dev ("the site", "I", "me") collects, uses, and handles information when you visit or interact with this personal portfolio website. I am committed to being transparent about data practices and to only collecting what is strictly necessary.

Contact form

When you use the "Get in touch" contact form, I collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. This information is transmitted via email directly to me and is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not stored in any database or shared with third parties.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. Google's use of data collected via reCAPTCHA is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Push notifications

If you choose to opt in to push notifications, your browser's push subscription endpoint is stored temporarily and used only to deliver notifications from this site. You can revoke this permission at any time through your browser settings. No personally identifiable information is collected as part of the notification subscription.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It collects aggregated, anonymised data such as page views and visitor counts. No cookies are used and no personally identifiable information is collected.

Spotify integration

The site may display currently playing or recently played podcasts from Spotify using the Spotify Web API. This is a read-only integration using my personal account credentials. No visitor data is sent to Spotify.

3. Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies. The only browser storage used is for PWA functionality (service worker caching) to enable offline support.

4. Progressive Web App (PWA)

This site is available as a Progressive Web App. If you install it, a service worker caches static assets locally on your device to enable offline access. No personal data is stored as part of this caching process.

5. Third-party links

This site contains links to external websites, including GitHub. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

6. Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry. Push notification subscriptions are removed when you revoke permission or after a reasonable period of inactivity.

7. Your rights

8. Changes to this policy
